FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), announced today that Jo A. Decker has joined the company as vice president of Navy/Marine Corps accounts.

In her new role, Decker is responsible for supporting strategic business development and planning for Navy and Marine Corps services. Her in-depth knowledge of naval management, readiness and logistics, coupled with her skills in process and financial management, will strengthen the company’s support to current and prospective customers. Decker brings more than 30 years of experience in ensuring continuity, efficacy and coherence of critical programs and activities.

“Jo Decker has achieved tremendous results for Navy programs over the course of her career,” said Al Whitmore, senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Technology’s Navy and Air Force Solutions division. “We are pleased to have Jo join us and look forward to the management expertise she brings to our team.”

Previously Decker served as Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy Financial Management and Comptroller where she oversaw accounting and finance operations and programs for the Department of the Navy.  She also served as Assistant Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Fleet Readiness and Logistics where she supported the command, utilization of resources and operating efficiency of Navy operating forces and shore activities, under the Chief of Naval Operations.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from Troy State University and pursued graduate studies at University of West Florida and University of Southern California.
