FALLS CHURCH, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) announced today it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Migration Competency and AWS DevOps Competency status. In addition, GDIT successfully completed a thorough third-party audit to renew its Managed Service Provider (MSP) program status.

The AWS Competency Program distinguishes partners who demonstrate the highest standard for successful customer engagements and complete rigorous technical validations in specialized areas.

GDIT attained AWS Migration Competency status by securely delivering a portfolio of mission-focused, highly-scalable cloud solutions to support complex migration projects across federal government. AWS DevOps Competency recognizes GDIT’s tailored solutions that support its customers’ transformation journey on DevOps. GDIT has previously achieved AWS competencies in Government and Public Safety and Disaster Response.

GDIT is recognized as a Premier Partner in the AWS Partner Network and has been part of the AWS MSP Program since 2016. The recently completed audit successfully validated more than 90 managed services controls and processes.

“These designations recognize GDIT’s deep expertise in migrating enterprise customers’ applications and legacy infrastructure, delivering DevOps solutions and Managed Services to our federal government customers on AWS,” said Ben Gianni, GDIT vice president and chief technology officer. “They also build on years of trusted collaboration with AWS.”

In 2019, AWS selected GDIT for the Government Competency Public Sector Consulting Partner of the Year award. In addition to being part of the AWS MSP, GDIT is also a member of the AWS Well-Architected and AWS Public Sector Partner programs. GDIT supports more than 50,000 Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances and more than 2,000 AWS accounts across its portfolio of AWS programs.
