FALLS CHURCH, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), announced today that it has been awarded a $95 million enterprise IT Services (eITS) contract by AmeriCorps. The five-year contract includes a base period of nine months, four option periods of one year, followed by one option period of three months.

AmeriCorps serves 40,000 communities across the country, promoting national service and volunteerism as a means of tackling the nation’s most pressing challenges. Under the eITS contract, GDIT will modernize and operate the agency’s IT enterprise by providing managed services, cloud, digital modernization, and cybersecurity services to support AmeriCorps’ operations. Services will include cloud management and integration, systems and application modernization, security management, and operations center support.

GDIT will also leverage its relationship with leading cloud service provider Microsoft Azure to deliver a platform as a service offering that enhances productivity and supports the agency’s mission nationwide.
