Job Description
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist supports monitoring and evaluation efforts by identifying program measurement indicators, designing/refining monitoring instruments, and conducting both on-site and remote monitoring reviews of client funded grantee sites to measure programmatic compliance and performance.Essential Tasks Include:Project Management Support
  • Supports the initiative’s data analysis and visualization activities.
  • Develops performance indicators to measure grantee progress towards programmatic outcomes and to identify performance baselines.
  • Designs monitoring tools/instruments for quantitative and qualitative analysis of grantee performance and outcome-oriented data assessment.

Monitoring
  • Performs on-site and remote monitoring reviews to assess grantee compliance with program requirements and collect data on programmatic outcomes.
  • Conducts interviews with grantee staff, program participants, and external stakeholders about program administration, operations, quality of services, and program outcomes.
  • Reviews program data to determine compliance with grant requirements and program policies and procedures.
  • Identifies potential promising practices and technical assistance needs.
  • Presents preliminary findings to grantees and other stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Drafts monitoring reports containing in-depth analyses and assessments of findings.

Other Activities
  • Provides training or guidance on selected monitoring and evaluation related topics for team members and stakeholders, as needed.
  • Contributes to the development and writing of M&E analysis reports and other related deliverables.
  • Participates in meetings as required and assists with additional projects, as needed.

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS or equivalent required with at least 5-7 years of monitoring and evaluation experience. Advanced degree strongly preferred. Degree in social work or related field preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working with immigrants and refugees preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau software a plus.
Additional Requirements
  • This position requires a Public Trust or the ability to obtain one. Long-distance travel within the U.S. is required and will be reimbursed per federal travel regulations.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $76,690 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
