GDIT is in need of a DevSecOps Engineer in the San Antonio, TX area supporting the Air Force Black Label Day 1 Day 2 (D1D2) program supporting the initial deployment of the software factory for the customer, and providing any addition capability to the software factory after initial deployment. This includes both cloud and on-premise deployments.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: BS in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree.
Required Experience: 10+ years of overall related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge (mastery preferred) in the following: DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Ref Design, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible, ArgoCD
Security Clearance Level: TS SCI eligible required at start
Certification: DoD 8570.01-M, IAT Level II or higher (i.e. CompTIA Sec+ CE or higher)
Location: Hybrid (Remote and Client Site as required)

HOW A DEVSECOPS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and analyzes highly complex software programs for computer-based systems
Develops highly complex documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
Performs highly complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Design and develop basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems
Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle
Establish operational plans
Reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects to develop documentation for new or existing programs
Applies practical knowledge of job typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead

The likely salary range for this position is $124,950 - $169,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
