Job Description

GDIT is looking for a leader of a technical and mission support team based at a modern, program-operated data center facility in Manassas, VA. The Program Manager will serve as the single point of contact for the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and government management personnel.  The program manager shall have authority over the resources necessary to accomplish the work; assign, schedule, direct and control work effort of technical and functional specialists; ensure conformity of work to prescribed standards. 

The leader will provide information technology expertise and have communications skills to be able to interface with all levels of management. 

HOW A PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Program Manager will provide strategic support and leadership to the Government and ensure that Contractor team activities are directly aligned with the Program and overarching Federal guidelines -- a strategist that can lead this team to the future.   

Technical skills are a must, but just as important are the soft skills required to lead and support this dynamic GDIT program team.  Presentation skills, both verbal and written are critical, ability to compile and present executive level presentations.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 

  • Ten (10)+ years of experience managing full lifecycle IT projects. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or five (5) years of experience managing full lifecycle IT projects with information assurance and Government-wide policies. 
  • Project and fiscal planning and execution experience. 
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance 
  • Strong communicator (both written and verbal communication skills), active listener, and collaborator. 
  • Leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Strategic foresight, proactive thinking and planning, conflict management, flexible attitude, ability to solution and provide organizational effectiveness across the program, change manager, strategic thinker. 
  • Location: 100% On Customer Site

Desired:

  • Five (5)+ years of experience managing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and or Identity Credential Access Management (ICAM) related programs in the commercial or federal sectors.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent certification accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
