Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Applying subject matter expertise in evaluating, implementing, and maintaining technologies and processes based on knowledge of best practices. 
  • Identifying areas where solutions would improve business or IT performance. 
  • Recommend technical solutions related to specific technologies that will meet business and IT requirements. 
  • Utilize subject matter expertise to guide IT developers/teams during the so􀅌ware development life cycle. 
  • Determine whether technical solutions conform to defined requirements. 
  • Verify reference information, including user guides, training materials, and system requirements. 
  • Ensure accuracy of deliverables prior to distribution to end-users. 
  • Communicate regularly with all relevant stakeholders. 
     

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile and Waterfall projects
  • 5+ years of experience with SharePoint, JIRA, and MS Project or related toolsets
  • Industry Standard Project Management Certification such as PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM,

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • A senior project manager should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies. They should also possess the ability to work well under pressure and effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Anticipates future customer, industry, and business trends and applies this understanding to complex problems to meet project objectives.
  • As appropriate, challenges the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement. Analyzes information and situations and implements actions independently and or through the management team, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Analyzes new and complex project related problems and creates innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components.
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle simultaneous assignments and meet stringent deadlines
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in Project Management
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
  • Timeline/schedule driven

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
