Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Functional Analyst Senior to support responsible for providing on going analytics and identifying issues related to a variety of non-technical and technical project deliverable(s); as it relates to requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation.

How the Functional Analyst Senior will make an impact:

  • Conducts research and analytical studies on a variety of programs and issues; coordinates and expedites reports and program; develops procedures; formulates recommendations and prepares reports.
  • Conduct organizational analysis and evaluations, to determine functional requirements, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
  • Review the Automated Installation Entry (AIE) Failure Reporting Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) report and conduct a Root Cause Analysis of the AIE system.
  • Tracks and maintains failure items and rates for long term sustainability of the AIE system. Serves as the Logistics SME to review and involve site POCs to resolve any AIE Failure Analysis and Corrective Action Report (FACAR) related issues/problems and issue resolution. Assists in maintaining equipment accountability at the program level.
  • Review logistical functions and identify areas of improvement to management. Handles unforeseen issues and adjust plans as needed to resolve the issues.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Tracks the warranties and service agreements for the Program. Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Ability to analyzes user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects.
  • BS and 5 or combination of education and experience equal to 9 yrs
  • Ability to use moderately complex modeling and measuring techniques.
  • Be able to conduct functional testing of various projects or systems.
  • Ability to researches, identify, and assist in the formulation of recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.
  • Able to participate in the development of new functionality or updates the existing, to meet client needs.
  • Experience writing and updating project documentation including procedures and training materials.
  • Ability to perform functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.
  • Ability to assist in Logistical operations, ie… Property Clerk duties, parts research, parts ordering, and inventory control.
  • Must have a Secret clearance or higher
  • Network analysis experience – 3-5 years of experience
  • Logistics Experience- 1-3 years
  • Must be able read and understand schematics and designs.  
  • Knowledge of networking hardware
  • Able to work afterhours and weekends as necessary

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $62,754 - $78,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
