Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as an IBD-SS Field Service Technician/Engineer supporting PM FPS (Product Manager, Force Protection Systems) customer in SWA to support engineering and technical services of Force Protection Systems (FPS) Family of Systems (FOS) to the IBD-SS program with operations located in SWA.
Successful candidates will support our customer in creating capabilities and providing technical services, subject matter expertise, and software solutions and services for platforms such as the Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting to ensure the full support of the warfighter.
What you need to be successful and how you will make an impact to the mission:
Perform analyses of system operations of software/hardware systems and components
Creating capabilities and providing technical services, subject matter expertise, and software solutions and services for platforms such as the Integrated Base Defense (IBD) Kitting.
Fault detection, isolation, and correction of software/hardware systems and individual components
Routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations; adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading of electronic circuit schematics; and repairing printed circuit boards
Performs sustainment and PMCS maintenance on the system
Repairs and Replace a/c systems, charging systems, radiators, vehicle suspension components. Use diagnostics, skills, and knowledge to detect defective issues with vehicles.
Repairs main and minor oil seals as needed
Performs site surveys to determine type and placement of systems
Installs and de-installs systems and their components and trains operators and end users
Updates databases, informs Lead of job status and any issues encountered
Tracks and updates work orders to include the replacement of parts component serial numbers removed and replaced
Travels via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas
Uses hand tools, power tools, and electronics measuring and test equipment
Performs minor maintenance on vehicles and generators such as changing required fluids and filters
Generate/produce data and reports
Interact and professionally exhibit customer service skills and be able to present a positive approach with customers and peers
Updates databases, informs lead of job status and any issues encountered and must have the ability to generate/produce data and reports
Tracks and updates work orders to include the replacement of parts component serial numbers removed and replaced, experience utilizing COLTS (or similar such as RCLS) and operating within the GCSS-A environment is strongly desired
Must be willing to support up to an 84-hour Extended Work Week or work week assigned to PDY or TDY work week based on mission requirements including travel within SWA as required
What you will need to succeed:
HS/GED + 1-3 years relevant experience (3 years’ experience in lieu of a degree)
US Secret Security Clearance Required
Must be capable of meeting standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations
Must continue to meet standards of fitness yearly to remain on contract
Able to withstand physical demands of seasonal hot or cold temperatures and willing to live and operate in an austere environment with the ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, the ability of physical movement such as but not limited to squatting, kneeling, standing.
Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and may travels via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas to support mission
Must have relevant certifications if applicable to contract requirements
Must be willing to travel to other locations as required to support the mission

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely salary range for this position is $60,174 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
