Job Description

GDIT has an opportunity for a growth oriented and execution focused Vice President level leader to join our team. This opportunity is based in GDIT’s Tampa, Florida office and requires the successful candidate to preferably reside in the Tampa area, or alternatively, the DC area.


We are looking for a talented and experienced candidate who can lead the business in developing a targeted growth strategy, drive operational efficiency and program execution excellence, and lead innovative and high performing teams. This position will have full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for a $140-160M business and report as one of the key operating business areas to GDIT’s ARMA Sector’s Vice President/General Manager.


HOW A VICE PRESIDENT, GCC/DTRA PROGRAM WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Requires full P&L authority to deliver projects and win new business within the Geographical Combatant Command (GCC), and Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) markets for opportunities consistent with GDIT and the business area core capabilities
  • Building and managing an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development
  • Developing a short- and long-term growth strategy with related tactical execution plans that drive top line and bottom-line growth for the team
  • Partnering and leveraging the group and company business development assets to build a robust and targeted pipeline of GCC and DTRA opportunities, and to pursue, propose and win new business as well as re-competes of existing business
  • Engage and leverage the GDIT Chief Technology Organization to bring our capabilities in cloud, AI, Zero Trust, infrastructure, applications development and related services to existing and potentially new clients
  • Build a mission-focused culture throughout the team consistent with GDIT values around commitment, impact, integrity, imagination and agility


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor's degree required
● Required Experience: 8+ years of military/civilian experience serving in DoD as a contractor or government/military employee

● Experience working in a GCC and an established track record of creating, developing, and maintaining customer relationships at the GCCs.  

● Security Clearance Level: Active TS required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
● Required Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in building a business strategy that drives growth and execution

● Leadership qualities that translate into business outcomes – specifically around team building and cohesion, client relationship development, and strategic thinking around enterprise business matters

● Demonstrated experience and success mounting new business capture campaigns, and hands-on engagement in developing capture strategy and proposal development

● Established hands-on experience managing programs or organizations of significant size and complexity

● Ability and flexibility for travel both within the US and OCONUS as needed.

● Preferred Skills: Experience working at DTRA; Prior successful leadership in directing and overseeing strategic pursuits in collaboration with BD and Capture Executives; Experience with GSA FEDSIM

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $208,250 - $281,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
