Job Description

GDIT Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) Division is seeking a Staff Vice President of Capture Excellence with primary responsibility for driving capture performance across the Division. He/she will report directly to the Vice President, IHS Growth and provide matrixed support to each of the IHS Sector Business Development Leads to ensure timely and effective capture leadership for top priority captures.

The position involves driving a disciplined position to win approach, to include opportunity qualification, competitive analysis, early customer engagement, requirements shaping, win strategy development and execution, and establishment of competitive advantages critical to winning competitive pursuits across the Intelligence Community and Department of Homeland Security markets. 

As a key leader in the IHS Growth organization, he/she will be responsible for instilling a transformational culture across the IHS Division.  This includes evolving the capture processes, methodologies, tools, training and skills sets needed to meet the evolving demands of today’s customers, changing competitive landscape and adoption of enabling tools such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for improved outcomes.  Transformational success is measured by year-over-year (YOY) improvement in capture win rates and bid efficiencies, and achievement of IHS revenue, profit and book-to-bill ratio requirements.

He/she will be responsible for building, managing, leading, training coaching and mentoring a best-in-class team of Capture Managers. In addition, he/she will lead pre-proposal shaping activities, orchestrate capture activities during the proposal phase and post-submittal activities, and execute a proven methodology toward increasing win probability. 


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
● Required Experience: 15+ years industry experience in the Capture Management field with a proven track record of capturing new and recompete business
● Required Skills: Experience in building or rebuilding highly effective capture teams of at least 30 Capture Managers serving multiple markets

● Required Experience: Experience developing, implementing or enhancing effective and cost-effective capture processes, methodologies and tools for a growth organization

● Required Experience: Proven interpersonal skills to lead in a matrixed environment and global marketplace 

● Demonstrated ability to lead organizations to achieve very high-performance standards

● Expertise in the development and delivery of mentoring and training programs across the spectrum of disciplines related to offering development

● Experience in delivering formal capture training curriculum

● Security Clearance Level: Current TS/SCI with Poly level security clearance

● Required Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical as well as verbal and written communications skills

● Preferred Skills: Ability to translate customer views and market data into new concepts of operation that drive affordable, innovative solutions and associated value proposition trade spaces

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $221,000 - $299,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
