Job Description

Apply your expertise to advance the mission and optimize our business strategy as a Security Officer at GDIT. Here, you’ll support solving some of our clients’ biggest challenges and help us grow the business.

Responsibilities: Provides a variety of security support to the customer to include physical, personnel, information, communications, and operations security.

US Citizenship required. Must be able to work onsite.

HOW A SECURITY OFFICER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Preparing, routing, and organizing security accreditation documentation.
  • Keeping personnel administrative records and maintenance logs.
  • Remaining current with and applying all Special Security Office documentation guidelines.
  • Assisting with Security Education Training Awareness (SETA) program tracking and curriculum.
  • Cataloging and maintaining briefing and access documentation for client staff.
  • Assisting with maintaining and tracking security inspection POA&Ms.
  • Maintaining visitor control system (e.g. policy, badges and sign-in log).
  • Familiarization with assorted databases (i.e., JADE, DISS, Scattered Castles).
  • Verifying clearance information in Defense Information System for Security and Scattered Castles for all visitors attending customer meetings and events.
  • Processing and sending Visit Certifications for customer personnel to attend meetings and events.
  • Assisting with document control, accountability, and destruction.
  • Assisting with interpreting policies/procedures to ensure compliance with DOD and IC regulations.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Must currently hold an active TS/SCI security clearance
  • 5+ years of experience in the field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years work experience with DoD security fields
  • Knowledge of the governing DOD Directives related to personnel security management.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $72,250 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
