Job Description

The world of investing is fascinating yet complex. While hundreds of first -time investors are turning to the markets to help pay for their homes, send their children to college and secure their futures the mission of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is becoming all the more vital. GDIT is excited to support the SEC in as it seeks to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation.

The SEC ISS program is a comprehensive IT program charged with operating, managing, and advancing the SEC's IT infrastructure. Our dynamic program team of IT leaders and large and small business partners is seeking bright, energetic and talented individuals to join us as we bring our innovative IT Service Delivery solutions to SEC. Currently, we are seeking a Senior Network Collaboration Engineer in Washington, DC to support the contract. The selected candidate must be a US Citizen (without dual citizenship) and able to obtain a SEC Public Trust Suitability.

Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years experience in the following:

Cisco Expressways

  • System administration and configuration (network, security, management, SNMP, NTP, backups, diagnostics, reports, etc.)

  • View active calls, check cluster status, other basic operations tasks

  • Fraudulent call checks

  • In-depth troubleshooting of issues related to Expressway traversal, functionality, performance and configuration

  • Use of Edge Audio (on Expressway) for connection/call checks for quality, fraudulent calls, etc.

Control Hub

  • System administration and configuration

  • System monitoring and fault management

  • Adding or modifying an endpoint (Webex Room Kits, web cams)

  • Gather reports for distribution and review

  • Monitor meetings, performing troubleshooting

AV Video Teleconferencing (VTC)

  • Endpoint configuration and administration

  • Setting up and monitoring point-to-point and multi-point VTC

  • Setting up and monitoring VTC with external third parties

  • Thorough understanding of VTC-over-IP configuration, CODECs, SIP, QoS

  • Basic troubleshooting of VTC

WebEx and Webex Room Kits

  • Expertise in administration, configuration and operation

  • Verifying connections to CUCM via SIP trunks

  • Assist and mentor junior Collaboration engineers with WebEx tickets from staff regarding functionality, audio/video quality, etc.

  • Meeting moderation

Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM)

  • System administration and configuration

  • Calling plans / call routing understanding, e.g., calling search spaces, gateways, partitions, route groups, route lists, route patterns

Teams

  • Administration Console experience, Teams policies

  • Troubleshooting, reporting, meeting monitoring and management

Networking
  • IP addressing, subnetting, default gateways

  • Layer 2 switching, trunking, how VoIP phones typically connect to a network

  • Layer 3 routing - Routing protocols like OSPF, BGP (important to SIP trunking)

  • Automation skills for automating bulk repeatable tasks in tools like Ansible is desired and a differentiator

Collaboration, AV and VoIP technology including but not limited to:

  • Understanding of SIP (vs. H.323) in the VoIP realm

  • Calling plans / call routing understanding, e.g., calling search spaces, gateways, partitions, route groups, route lists, route patterns

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $139,984 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
