Job Description

Functional Analyst, Senior
 

We are looking for an experienced Sr Functional Analyst to lead a team with other functional and development team members for one of our customer’s Maximo developments.  The individual will function as a functional lead and expert for a Computerized Maintenance Management System being developed in Montgomery, utilizing the IBM Maximo Asset Management platform.  Duties will include: working with users to document requirements, designing/customizing screens to meet those requirements, developing user documentation, testing the system to ensure requirements are meet, and supporting implementation of the completed system.  Implementation responsibilities include the migration of data from legacy systems, training users, and providing on-site support as well as help desk support.  The individual will be required to work closely with other analysts and programming personnel to meet customer requirements.  Prior experience within asset management, maintenance management, or inventory management systems is a plus. 

Standard Job Duties:

1. Analyzes user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects.

2. Performs functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter-relationships.

3. Researches, identifies, and assists in the formulation of recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion.

4. Participates in the development of new systems or updates to existing systems to meet client needs.

5. Identifies and recommends emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.

6. Writes and updates project documentation including system procedures and training materials.

7. Conducts functional testing of various systems.

8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.

9. Participates in special projects as required.

Requirements:

● Education: College Degree or equivalent job experience
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
● Preferred Skills: have knowledge of IBM Maximo and automation scripting
● Location: GDIT Office, Montgomery, AL

● US Citizenship is Required

● Travel is required, no more than 25%

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
