Systems Technician III

Our work depends on Systems Technician III joining our team will play a critical role in planning, executing, and managing complex training exercises that combine live, virtual, and constructive elements to provide an immersive and realistic training environment for military and other security-related scenarios.


HOW A SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Responsible for coordinating various technological systems, simulations, and live assets to ensure seamless and effective training sessions.
  • Work closely with the on-site customer, Mission Training Complex (MTC) personnel, and training units to thoroughly understand the LVCG systems capabilities and possible uses.
  • Provide information system administration support to MTC exercises and events.
  • Assist Information Assurance Managers with maintaining Risk Management Framework compliance.
  • Provide support to Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming and Low Overhead exercises and events.
  • Provide input and support to the creation of training related products, along with AAR activities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science or equivalent military experience.
  • Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Constructive System Management: Take charge of setting up, configuring, and maintaining the LVCG training systems and equipment to include LVCIA, VBS3, and DXTRS ensuring reliable functionality during training exercises.
    • Scenario Design and Development: Collaborate with training experts and instructional designers to create realistic and relevant scenarios that address the specific training objectives. This involves integrating live personnel, virtual simulations, and constructive elements to simulate complex operational environments.
    • Exercise Execution: Operate the LVCG systems during training exercises to manage scenario flow, inject events, and adjust the difficulty level as needed to challenge and engage participants effectively.
    • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during training sessions promptly. Work with technical support teams to address system glitches or malfunctions.
  • Security Clearance Level: Secret Clearance required to start
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Communication and Coordination: Maintain clear communication with all relevant stakeholders, including instructors, participants, and support staff, to ensure a smooth and coordinated execution of the training exercises.
    • Security and Safety: Adhere to strict security protocols to safeguard classified information and ensure the safety of all personnel involved in the training exercises.
    • Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to new WARSIM operators and assist in their development during Joint and Combined theater level exercises as WARSIM Instructor Controller.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Previous exercise support experience.
    • Prior military and training experience at the Senior Leadership level
    • Certifications such as Network+, Security+, or Security X
    • Knowledge of instructional design principles

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $28.93 - $34.05. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
