Job Description

Electronics Technician Maintenance I

GDIT is actively seeking an Electronics Technician to be part of our acoustics testing team. At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Electronics Technician Maintenance I you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Electronics Technician Maintenance I joining our team to work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing one or more of the following: installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, or testing. Additional responsibilities may include fabrication of electronic assemblies and harnesses, assembly of circuit board assemblies and test point to point wiring; assisting in the termination and testing of fiber optic cabling; and participation in integration and check-out of systems during field activities. Experience with sensor installation, repair and calibration is desired.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science in Electronics Technology or completion of a two year electronic technician training course
● Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Electronic system troubleshooting
● Security Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
● Required Skills and Abilities: Proficient with hand and power tools; good communication skills
● Preferred Skills:
● Location: On Customer Site
●US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $20.40 - $27.60. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
