Job Description

As a Configuration Management Specialist II in San Antonio, TX, you will help our team to design, plan, implement, and administer databases, including security, access, and documentation while supporting the customer.  You will be trusted to work with a variety of different technologies.

HOW A CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provide asset and inventory management support services for all site assets (hardware, software) and peripherals using DMLSS and ServiceNow 
  • Provide timely alternative support recommendations for equipment that has reached end of life or where warranties are no longer in place 
  • Daily operations of the configuration control management planning  
  • Assists and reviews identification of configurable items, change and status accounting, and configuration verification of configuration items  
  • Monitors the acquisition, storage, utilization, transfer, and disposal of property from the Asset Team  
  • Fully supports the Area Property Officer (APO) in the property management functions and serve as a liaison between the APO and Asset Team  
  • Ensures that property assigned to a unit or organization is properly inventoried; performs a joint physical inventory  
  • Maintains physical inventory plans and procedures, schedules physical inventories, and assists in their completion  
  • Directs an effective asset management process, to include property accountability, inventory, utilization and reutilization, care, and disposition of property and rehabilitation within DHA 
  • Maintain and deliver detailed asset inventory accounting reports

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of equivalent experience
  • Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in configuration management
  • Certifications:
    • Security+ or equivalent
  • Technical skills:
    • Demonstrated experience with DMLSS, ServiceNow, military logistics, logistics management, and/or Defense Reutilization and Marketing Offices (DRMO) 
  • Security clearance: Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
  • Location: On Customer Site
  • Travel: Some local travel may be required
  • Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $83,429 - $93,150. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
