Our work depends on a Deputy Program Manager joining our team to plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects and IT operations at the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ) in Falls Church, VA, and DHA offices in the National Capital Region. 

HOW THE Deputy Program Manager WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects.
  • Lead and guide the work of technical staff.
  • Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.
  • Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
  • Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
  • Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
  • Perform independent thinking, complex tasks with little to no supervision.
  • May supervise others.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Master’s degree and/or equivalency
     
  • Experience:
    • Master’s Degree and eight (8) years of experience or
    • Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of experience or
    • HS Diploma and twelve (12) years of experience
       
  • Technical skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, SharePoint
     
  • Required Certifications:
    • PMI, PMP or equivalent as approved by COR
    • ITIL 4 Foundation
       
  • Security clearance level: SECRET
     
  • Skills and abilities:
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Must be comfortable presenting to senior executives and VIPs.
    • Strong problem solving and team building skills.
    • Must possess a mission focused mindset that thrives on delivering positive outcomes and takes pride in accomplishing goals on time and within budget.
    • Must operate with transparency across corporate and customer contacts.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
