Job Description

Discover a career that is challenging, impactful, and mission-critical. Join our team as a Specialized Customer Support Assistant II and make an impact on our customer. While you help us advance the mission, we’ll help advance your career.

HOW A SPECIALIZED CUSTOMER SUPPORT ASSISTANT II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • The SCS would arrange VTCs and conference rooms, set up interagency meetings, arrange for transportation and passing of clearances for external meetings, and coordinate with special assistants around the Sponsor's Organization, to include the most Senior Level Offices

  • The SCS would handle calendars for our three principals as well as meetings for the Unit's staff

  • Each principal has an average of 4 meetings per day (often all together)

  • The group has 3 staff meetings per week

  • Back up responsibilities would include support for the Office sharing the vault, and especially the department chief, who has a very dynamic calendar

  • In addition to helping the Chief of the co-located unit with meeting scheduling, there is, on average, one White House VTC per week that requires finding a conference room and coordinating the connection with the Sponsor's Video Conferencing group

  • This Office's managers and officers usually have several conference room booking requests per day

  • The SCS would handle calendars for the Office's three principals as well as meetings for its staff

  • The SCS would assist with the office's daily administrative and operational requirements -- ensuring IT equipment is functioning, monitoring office space and assignments, onboarding/offboarding staff and contractors (System Access requests, seating charts, org charts, and vault accesses), and monitoring and ordering supplies. The Office the SCS will be primarily supporting is a fairly small unit but expects to onboard multiple people in the near term and will have some staff and contractor turnover

  • The selectee would handle vault access, e-mail and shared drive access, org charts, and seating plans and ensure efficient updates for arrivals and departures

  • She or he would provide backup admin assistance the other Office on these same tasks

  • The SCS will be asked to arrange travel approximately 4 times per year for the Chiefs and Deputies for both the primary office as well as the one co-located with them

  • This will include checking schedules, arranging airline flights, filling out and submitting visas, coordinating medical clearance updates, processing travel requirements (to include managing and submitting accountings), and drafting related communications

  • This position might entail tracking some taskings/actions

  • There will be opportunities to help organize all-hands meetings, award ceremonies, and networking events with the other unit in the vault

  • None of these would be large or formal events

  • The SCS will help manage Office's record keeping system and help track taskings

  • As this Office shares a vault with a larger unit, the selected SCS would be expected to work closely with the other Office's support officer in coordinating issues such as space and vault maintenance, and serving as a back-up for that officer and for their special assistant cadre (as noted in other sections).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Position requires an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.

  • HS Diploma and 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • This is a full-time position working a standard work schedule; given the group's highly dynamic scheduling, we would need arrival NL T 0900 and departure no earlier than 1600

  • Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • The position is on customer site

GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:

  • 401K with company match

  • Comprehensive health and wellness packages

  • Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career

  • Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certification

  • Cutting-edge technology you can learn from

  • Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays
