Job Description

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Data Center Lead to manage the data center for the DTRA I3TS program at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

This program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable the customer to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities. These services will deliver exceptional execution value to internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

You will supervise and manage the following tasks:

  • Oversees the day-to-day management of all data center operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Analyzes and resolves Data Center work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems
  • Develops and maintains infrastructure monitoring systems.
  •  Devises new techniques to expedite workflow, improve productivity, and improve operating environment.
  • Confers and works efficiently and effectively with other departments to implement controls and schedules, resolve delivery problems, and help validate business, operational, and financial impact of large scale data center projects.
  • Lead the O&M’s team’s troubleshooting efforts to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning. 
  • Train, mentor and motivate team to meet individual, team and contractual obligations and thresholds while ensuring individual career growth and development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree: additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree 5+ years of experience leading, coordinating, and providing subject-matter expertise on implementation, operation, maintenance, and advanced delivery services
  • TS/SCI

Required certification:

  • Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM)

Desired certifications:

  • Data Center Infrastructure Manager (DCIM), Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP)

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $128,666 - $174,078. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
