Job Description

GDIT is seeking an IT Support Specialist to support our DLA Network Team from one of the following onsite locations: Ft. Belvoir, VA; Richmond, VA; New Cumberland, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Battle Creek MI; Dayton, OH; Columbus, OH.

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the Enterprise Network Micro-Segmentation Software Application Solution Support. You will be responsible for the tasks assigned to you by work orders, incidents, change requests, or other work requests to complete assigned tasks.

HOW A TEAM IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

This position covers planning and delivery of customer support services including installation, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training. Functions may include diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer reported incidents, planning and analysis of work processes, researching and reporting trends and patterns of problems, developing training materials and performing computing/information system training sessions, developing and maintaining problem tracking databases, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software, performing backup and recovery operations, consulting with users to identify needs and requirements, conducting feasibility studies and trade-off analyses, preparing business cases, and ensuring the rigorous application of information security/Cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices. May be required to support DLA’s eProcurement system(s).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:

  • CLEARANCE: Secret, with Top Secret eligibility

  • CERTIFICATION(S):

    • DoD 8570 IAT II Compliant (CompTIA Sec+ CE).

    • Computing Environment: Server Admin M (Cloud, Microsoft, Linux Operating System, Google, AWS)

  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or higher

  • YEAR’S EXPERIENCE: 6 years of telecommunications experience

  • TECHNICAL SKILLS:

    • 6 years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing,

    • 3 years specializing in Information Processing and involve a range of hardware/software solutions

    • 2 years of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, diagnosing problems, and training customers in the use of software and hardware.

  • LOCATION: Onsite from one of the following office sites: Ft. Belvoir, VA; Richmond, VA; New Cumberland, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Battle Creek MI; Dayton, OH; Columbus, OH.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
