Our work depends on a Data Architect – Expert joining our team to evolve and maintain network infrastructure for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration.
HOW A DATA ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
• Designs and builds relational databases. Performs data access analysis design, and archive/recovery design and implementation.
• Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.
• Works in a data warehouse environment, which includes data design, database architecture, and metadata repository creation.
• Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
• Defines, designs, and builds dimensional databases.
• Develops data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems.
• Reviews and develops object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.
• Identifies solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements designs
• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
• May serve as a team or task lead
• Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert as a Data Architect
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: Master’s Degree (Substitutions will be based on additional years of experience)
• Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience
• Required Technical Skills: Application Development, Systems Engineering, System Administration, System Design, Software Applications, Technical Documentation, Knowledge Transfer
• Platform Experience - Salesforce, SharePoint, Appian, Power Apps, and ServiceNow.
• Security Clearance Level: DOE Q or TS
• Required Skills and Abilities: Written and Oral Communication; Organization, Problem Solving, Communication, and Teamwork.
• Location: Washington, DC
• US Citizenship Required

The likely salary range for this position is $158,846 - $214,910. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
