METOC SME Tester - Clearance Required

Test Engineer - Secret Clearance Required to Start.

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring a subject matter expert (SME) Tester to work on C2EDS Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC), application suite: Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System – Next Generation.  We are looking for a candidate with a background in METOC and weather prediction such a former Navy Aerographers Mate (AG) who has or is willing to develop technical testing skills. Candidates will use their METOC user experience help the team improve the product and to test the application both with automated tests and manually. Candidates will work on an active and supportive Scrum Agile development team.

• Backend Development Language: Java
• Frontend Development Language: React JavaScript; React JS
• Frontend Web Application
• Application Server: Windows server
• Relational Database: PostgreSQL
• Geospatial Information System: GeoServer with GDAL; OGC Services
• Web Based Map: OpenLayers
• Build Orchestration: Jenkins, Maven
• Configuration Management: Nexus, Subversion (transitioning to GIT based BitBucket)

Core Skills: Domain experience in Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC) / Weather.

Desirable Skills: Experience with using or developing automated tests.

● Security Clearance Level: Secret
