Computer Numerical Control (CNC)Lathe Machinist

HOW A MACHINERY MAINTENANCE MECHANIC WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including HAAS, HURCO, TOYODA and DAEWOO   
  • Set up and  productively operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations, with the ability to read and edit programs (G codes / M codes)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
  • Use of both part probes and Renishaw tool setters
  • Select and install cutting tools, adjust machine settings, and monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications
  • Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality
  • Clean and maintain machines on a daily basis to ensure optimal performance
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery
  • Previous experience setting up and operating  CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment, FANUC, HURCO and HAAS controls.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
  • Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and programming
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operations
  • Ability to assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot machinery
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Secret clearance required.
  • This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.92 - $35.08. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
