Engineering Technician IV
How the SASMO Technician will make an impact:
Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO) Family of Systems Field Service Technician.
Provides support to the 302ND Squadron/166th Aviation Brigade at Ft. Cavazos, Texas on the overall Sustainment operation for all the Logistics Information Technology (LOG-IT) Systems with emphasis on Aircraft Notebook (ACN).
Provides sys admin support and database administration for the ACN (aircraft notebook) environment and aviation Maintenance Support Devices (MSD) systems.
Provides the handling, storing, and tracking of any hardware utilizing the ACN or MSD software
Provides over the shoulder technical assistance or training, assisting the unit trainer providing orientation to new users.
Provides operation and support to Combat Service Support Very Small Aperture Terminal (CSS VSAT) system.
Proficient on software load and configuration of ACNs and Maintenance Support Devices (MSD).
Verify and maintain VSAT connectivity with GCSS-A and TAMMS-A-MCDS websites.
Assists Information Assurance staff with all documentation required for accreditation and any other associated directives and regulations.
Able to install, configure, and maintain network and system's hardware.
Able to submit Helpdesk Tickets on software issues.
Familiar with the following Systems: Global Combat Support Systems-Army (GCSS-A) Standard Procurement System (SPS), Combat Service Support Very Small Aperture Terminal (CSS VSAT).
What you'll need to be successful:
AA/AS, 3+ years experience (or experience in lieu of degree)
Must have active SECRET Clearance and be able to maintain clearance.
3 yrs of SASMO experience
Must have a current and active Secret Clearance and current Security + CE certification.
Has a basic understanding of networking principles and system network configuration.
Military experience is desirable.
A basic knowledge of client and server software interaction including web-based application design, support, and integration. Willing to travel.

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.56 - $35.94. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
