Enterprise IT Scheduler

GDIT is looking for an Enterprise IT Scheduler to maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Chantilly, VA.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Enterprise Scheduler to join our IT operations team. The Enterprise Scheduler will be responsible for managing, automating, and optimizing the execution of enterprise-wide projects across multiple systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in job scheduling, effective communication, and keeping a program on the path to success.

We have an opportunity for an Enterprise IT Scheduler to join our team as we provide management tools to the client to support program management objectives. Located in Chantilly, VA you'll work with program leadership to monitor schedule, resource utilization and performance of multiple projects using Microsoft Project while having daily interactions with multiple client stakeholders. The real power of program analysis comes from communication, so you'll create the tools necessary to inform the client and make recommendations for improvement to program leadership. We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our customers, so you'll have resources for mentoring and learning new skills and tools. Duties and Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be an expert using Microsoft Project schedule, in conjunction with SharePoint Project Web Application (PWA) tool to maintain a dynamic IMS that is integrated and logical to the program. Establish and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare event schedules and reports as required. Maintain schedules for complex projects, site locations, and overall performance against the schedule, with a roll-up of the entire program effort. Develop tools to modernize and automate the Integrated Master Schedule.

You (should) have:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT scheduling
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Web Application is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills:

  • Collaborate with IT operations, development teams, and business units to ensure that scheduled tasks align with business requirements and operational goals
  • Design, implement, and manage schedule templates
  • Assist in training and providing support to end-users and other stakeholders on scheduling tools and processes
  • Monitor the status of scheduled tasks, ensuring they are completed on time, and take appropriate action in the case of failures or delays
  • Ensure all jobs are executed with the correct dependencies, sequencing, and priorities
  • Create quality analytical products to include visualizations, briefs, workflows, diagrams and reports
  • Generate reports on project performance, resource utilization, and scheduling conflicts
  • Collaborate with technical teams to proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or performance bottlenecks.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate the scheduler with enterprise systems
  • Lead the identification, baselining, and management of all project change requirements for all Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Change Requests (CRQs)

 

Nice If You Have:

  • Familiarity with system integrations
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, operating systems, and databases
  • Knowledge of job scheduling concepts, dependencies, and resource management
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and principles
  • Experience with monitoring tools and dashboards
  • Certifications in job scheduling tools or IT operations

Clearance and Travel Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Less than 10% travel

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
