Data Scientist, IT Architecture Specialist - Plans

Our work depends on a Senior-level Data Scientist (IT Architecture Specialist - Plans), to serve in support of defense analytical and administrative requirements for a Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC). 

HOW A SENIOR - LEVEL DATA SCIENTIST, IT ARCHITECTURE SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Develop Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) derived operational (OV-1 through OV-4) and system (SV-1 through SV-4) architecture views for assigned intelligence IT system projects.
  • Develop and create technical intelligence operational and system architecture drawings, sketches, documents, slides, diagrams, and supporting documents.
  • Conduct extensive research on IT systems, applications, and hardware solutions to identify existing or new capabilities that can be engineered to build independent or combined end-to-end solutions.
  • Analyze, recommend, and conduct mitigation/resolution of IT issues for the CCMD J2.
  • Develop and prepare IT project documents, including Microsoft Project Plans, Integrated/Master Project Plan, Charter, CONOPS, status reports, etc.
  • Document, report, and follow-up attendance at meetings, video/voice teleconferences, conferences, and events related to USCENTCOM J2 intelligence IT systems, architecture, and projects.
  • Engage and coordinate with CCMD Directorates, Divisions, Component Commands, Combat Support Agencies, and other IC-related organizations to coordinate IT system related intelligence requirements and associated system deployments.
  • Engineer, develop, and create solutions and define associated hardware/software requirements for any USCENTCOM J2 IT system related issues. Document as required via Engineering Design Diagrams/Documents (EDD), System Configuration documentation, System Operations and Maintenance Documents (SOMD), and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation.
  • Special projects and travel may be required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Security Clearance Level: TS / SCI, with favorable polygraph.
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Desired Education and Experience: Master’s degree with 12 yrs related experience or Bachelor’s degree with a total of 17 yrs experience as a substitute to the Master’s degree. At least a portion of your experience must be in the last 2 yrs.
  • Required: In-depth knowledge of DoDAF, IT architecture principles, and intelligence systems.
  • Preferred: Combatant Command Experience, USCENTCOM experience.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
