Operations and Training Manager

GDIT Operations and Training Manager is a career in supervision of highly motivated technical and analytical training planners. HOW AN OPERATIONS AND TRAINING MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • The Operations and Training Manager shall manage and supervise Contractor support of day-to-day MTC operations and training; exercise/event planning and operations support; scheduling and coordination of MTC resources and the training request process; individual MCIS training; and MTC task tracking. 
  • The Operations and Training Manager shall participate in and when required lead various operations and exercise updates and staff meetings. The Ops Manager will work closely with the MTC Government Operations POC and/or Director to ensure the MTC Government is kept informed of training and event support requirements, any potential changes to those requirements, and any conflicts with overlapping or simultaneous requirements.
  • Have good communication skills, logical thinking, and interpersonal skills to resolve issues and develop feasible actionable actions.
  • Capable of collaborating with senior Army, Joint, and Bilateral leadership as MTC SME.
  • Operations and Training Manager serves as alternate principle point of contact with the MTC Director for all technical requirements in the task order and supervisor for contract employees assigned to the MTC.
  • Operations and Training Manager leadership and training skills essential for accomplishing multi-tasking for day-to-day operations for the MTC.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BS or BA degree required subject immaterial.  
  • Required Experience: 5 years of experience with military training and training support operations; 5 years of operations management experience; 3 years of experience within the last ten years with military simulations.
  • Required a robust understanding of the Army Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) and MTC operations
  • Security Clearance Level: Secret Clearance required to start
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Required a robust understanding of the Army Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) and MTC operations; Excellent communications skills and ability to brief senior leaders in layman’s terms; experience with modelling and simulations systems and concepts; and ability to produce senior level briefings.
  • Preferred Skills: Battalion or higher Command, Operations, or Training assignment or Civilian or Corporate equivalent; have served as an FA57 or CP36; Graduate of CGSC or ILE (MEL 4), Senior NCOES or equivalent, or equivalent military or DoD Civilian leadership and administrative training; two years’ experience in Army MTCs.
  • Location: On Customer Site- Sagamihara Japan

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
