Switchboard Operator II (LC 4)

 

Apply your expertise to advance the mission and optimize our business strategy as a Switchboard Operator I at GDIT. Here, you’ll support solving some of our clients’ biggest challenges and help us grow the business.

HOW A SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR I WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

     ● Operates a switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls; greets visitors and directs individuals to appropriate persons in the building    

     ● Handle overseas telephone calls, conference calls, and emergency calls

     ● Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone and/or email

     ● Familiarity with a military environment

     ● Provide personnel locator & commercial information services, customer support, and maintain call accounting databases in support of AFCENT operations

     ● Apply experience as a telephone operator on switchboard consoles as specified in the task order.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

     ● Education: High School Diploma/GED

     ● Required Experience: Experience as a telephone operator

     ● Required Technical Skills: Experience as a telephone operator on switchboard consoles

     ● Security Clearance Level: SECRET

     ● Location: On Customer Site

     ● US Citizenship Required - CLEARANCE

4. Switchboard Operator II  

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a telephone operator handling overseas telephone calls, personnel locator service, commercial information services, customer support, conference calls, emergency calls, and maintaining call accounting databases.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

Experience as a telephone operator on switchboard consoles as specified in the task order.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $14.40 - $16.74. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
