Our work depends on you joining our team to support the Joint Staff J6, Deputy Directorate for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Cyber Integration (DD C5I) in Suffolk, Virginia in direct support of senior government civilian leaders and directorate personnel.
HOW A OPERATIONS ANALYST ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Provide Records Management expertise, in accordance with relevant Department of Defense (DoD) regulatory guidance and Joint Staff Instructions and manuals, to support senior government leadership records management requirements.
● The records manager must be able to apply the core principles of DoD records management of electronic and hard copy documents, publications, and other organizational historical documents. Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy providing support to a high visibility, fast-paced Joint Staff organization. The records manager will provide onsite support and services to government and military customers.
● Execute proper records management on multiple classified and unclassified SharePoint Sites (such as DOD365 Sharepoint Online (SPO), Intelink, and the Joint Staff Portal and Shared Drives (SIPR/NIPR). Create/update, implement, and manage a directorate Records Management program in accordance with DOD and Joint Staff guidance. Work closely with and collaborate with the Joint Staff J6 Records Management Team located in Northern Virginia. This work directly supports records management capabilities and improvements in maintaining a uniform records management program/process for Joint Staff J6 DDC5I personnel. Analyze and improve existing records management processes and procedures to ensure alignment with DOD and Joint Staff guidance. Support directorate information management.
● You will work closely with DDC5I senior leadership (SES and GS-15), division leads, and division records management representatives.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Technical training, certification(s) or Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business Management, or related field.
● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience.
● Security Clearance Level: Active Secret; eligible for Top Secret preferred.
● Required Technical Skills: At least 3 years’ experience with Microsoft SharePoint environments and SharePoint site administration. This position requires Security + and operating system (OS) certifications. SharePoint and records manager certifications are highly desired.
● Required Skills and Abilities: Proven proficiency with SharePoint workflows, lists, forms, document libraries, and search. In-depth knowledge of DoD records management processes and procedures. In-depth knowledge /understanding of the DoD/JS publications regarding Records Management, specifically, JOINT STAFF AND COMBATANT COMMAND RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT MANUAL CJCSM 5760.01B, Volumes I and II.
● Preferred Skills: Possess the demeanor, work ethic, and professionalism necessary to successfully work directly with senior government civilians on a daily basis. Able to work with little supervision in a fast-paced dynamic environment and collaborate/work with other members of the US Joint Staff Record Management team. Able to prepare and conduct seminars/work groups and conduct training in large and small groups. Records manager certification(s) and military staff experience a plus.
● Location: On customer site in Suffolk, VA; limited, situational telework may be allowed on a case-by-case basis.

U.S. Citizenship Required
The likely salary range for this position is $110,614 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
