Field Technician I

HOW A FIELD TECHNICIAN I WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.

● Travels to various sites to perform repairs and troubleshoot problems.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
●  Education: High School Diploma/GED
●  Required Experience: 1+ years of related experience 

● Required Technical Skills: Must be proficient at using common hand and power tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and saws
● Security Clearance Level: Must be able to attain a Secret security clearance
● Required Skills and Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers. Must be able to follow written and verbal directions to accomplish assigned tasking.  
● Preferred Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprint and schematics
●  Location: GDIT Chesapeake, VA
● US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $17.00 - $23.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
