Job Description
GDIT is seeking a Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Manager to lead our Strategic Software team. This team is responsible for the oversight of managing our cloud provider relationships, strategic software providers, leading request for proposals, and identifying process improvements and renewal tracking for the organization.

This is a hybrid role that allows for partial work from home.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Ensure all sourcing execution adheres to GDIT’s internal compliance standards and all government contracting regulatory requirements, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Manage the relationship and sourcing process with our key suppliers; including but not limited to terms negotiations, pricing negotiation, full understanding of the agreement and procurement process with that supplier.
  • Identifying areas where the sourcing and procurement process is delayed or could be improved and creating a process that mitigates those challenges.
  • Drive results from our procurement associates, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that GDIT continues to achieve cost savings goals, create process efficiencies, and continue to enhance our cradle to grave procurement approach.
  • Responsible for all aspects of staffing and personnel management; including coaching, mentoring, training, professional development, and compliance with policy, process, and procedures. Manager shall partner with senior leadership to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with suppliers while promoting company initiatives and values.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of additional work experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ Years in Commercial or FAR Regulated Supply Chain Experience (must have a minimum of 3 years in government contracting) with in-depth knowledge of direct procurement requirements
  • Experience procuring software and/or cloud products
  • Experience conducting agreement negotiations with supplier executives, managing complex RFPs, developing strategic sourcing approaches, conducting total cost of ownership analyses, designing cost containment strategies, conducting market research, and performing process improvement within corporate Supply Chain Management organizations.  
  • Experience in process analysis, applying best procurement process practices, and continuous process improvement.
  • Experience in written/oral communications at all levels of the company.
  • Performs work on contracts that require U.S. citizenship

Desired Qualifications:

  • In-depth experience specifically related to cloud and software procurements; as it relates to the Information Technology Space; Cloud Service Agreements, End User License Agreements, contractual negotiations including pricing, and key terms and conditions negotiations.
  • Procurement and negotiation of Cloud and Software with suppliers such as Microsoft, AWS, Google, etc.
  • Understanding of Cloud supplier offerings
  • Project Management of strategic RFP’s

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $105,622 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
