HOW AN INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction
●Seeking IT professional with five years-experience.  Qualifications include advanced knowledge of computer systems for database management, multiple operating systems, and network operations.  Well versed in information system administration and network hardening techniques through group policies and security templates.  Advanced knowledge in installing and maintaining personal computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networks.  Working knowledge of security principles and methods such as firewalls and encryption.  Skilled recovering failed systems/servers. Proficient in computer programming, debugging, system architecture, database principle, web-based data sharing, Windows and Linux-Based PC systems, data transferring and data back-up/archiving.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Degree with five years IT experience or ten-year IT experience in lieu of a degree. Computer Science, computer science engineer, cybersecurity, information technology or a degree in any field with a minimum of five years IT experience.
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience with a college degree or 10 years IT experience without a a degree
● Required Technical Skills: Programming skills required: either any Scripting, Linux, PowerShell, Ansible.
● Security Clearance Level: minimum Secret
● Required Skills and Abilities: System Administrator certs: Security +, any Microsoft cert would be a nice to have / Network Engineer certs: Security+, Network+, CCENT, CCNA, CCNP / Linux Administrator certs: Linux_ or Redhat Administrator/Programming skills required: either any Scripting, Linux, PowerShell, Ansible
● Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Navy computer security regulations, policies, and directives would be a plus.
● Location: On Customer Site. Some travel possible.
