Job Description

The Solutions Architect (SA) will be strategizing multi-year roadmaps to enable business growth, ensure compliance and reduce the complexity of key business and IT processes.

The SA will play a vital role across the enterprise IT landscape, defining the applications, establishing architecture principles, support/lead cloud transformation, developing enterprise frameworks, decommissioning or transforming legacy applications, data migration, security, privacy, etc.

The SA will also be mentoring the team to move an organization toward its target architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications, and infrastructure.
  • Facilitate and manage evaluations and proof of concept activities as subject matter expert.
  • Evaluate the existing environment and examine how different elements of business, information, and technology can be applied to solve a specific problem.
  • Advise on enterprise architecture landscape, including technology, information, data, security, and integration.
  • Implement large-scale, innovative IT solutions to drive business transformation.
  • Evaluate and identify IT-related risks.
  • Develop technology strategy and planning deliverables to address IT risks and improve the effectiveness of the IT organization, especially in business application integration.
  • Produce target-state solution architecture and perform assessments and gap analysis.
  • Help formulate the overall solution strategies and roadmaps.
  • Lead or consult to Architecture Review Board (ARB)

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of technology and solution architecture experience, preferably in large Oracle EBS ERP environments.
  • Experience and knowledge in at least one aspect of the business (Federal Government, IT, large commercial organizations).
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • The relevant certifications to demonstrate competency: TOGAF, Oracle Infrastructure / Database

The role requires both strong communication skills as well as analytical skills to ensure that businesses have the right tools for success. Skills include:

Problem-solving: Ability to define which issues need to be addressed, and the variables that may affect their resolution. Plus, the ability to come up with solutions that effectively address business and IT issues through technical analysis, troubleshooting, research, evaluation, and communication.

Consensus building: Discussing with stakeholders and getting agreement on the problem and solution. This requires both strong verbal and written communication skills to settle conflicts.

Solution realization: Turning solution proposals into reality throughout the process of development, testing, and deployment.

Solution management: Ability to manage the solution through its lifecycle. Navigate complex technical environments and stakeholder expectations,

Leadership: Strong leadership skills are needed to empower employees and IT teams to remain on task and meet deadlines.

Knowledge: Fluency to develop and use solution architecture frameworks, patterns, and best practices to drive business transformation.

Technical Expertise: In the areas of Oracle E-Business suite running in High Availability architecture, Oracle Identity & Access Management, Oracle SOA suite, Oracle Business Intelligence (OAS), Disaster Recovery, Monitoring solutions, performance tuning.

CLEARANCE:

Ability to obtain a Public Trust: candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years and pass a public trust background investigation.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $146,536 - $190,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
