Systems Administrator Senior (Storage) – TS/SCI required

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR (STORAGE) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Installs, operates, and maintains network and storage technologies including VEEAM, NetApp, Veritas NetBackup, Brocade Fiber Channel, HPE StoreOnce Systems, tape libraries and backup to disk
Installs patches and performs system updates
Manages storage allocation, space, and replication strategies
Analyzes and resolves problems related to storage systems and network storage solutions
Troubleshoots and restores complex storage problems across the enterprise related to replication strategies and storage strategies across wide area networks
Recovers data when required
Provides recommendations on storage upgrades and supports project integration as required
Configures, monitors, and troubleshoots NAS protocols and solutions
Creates and configures volumes, disk shelves, and RAID groups
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master’s with 10 years of experience
Required Skillset:
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in Storage Area Network (SAN) administration and support
Comprehensive Knowledge of VMware vSphere
Comprehensive knowledge of IP based storage technologies
Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software
Knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI; Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
Required Certification(s):
Required Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent
Required Computing Environment (CE) certification: NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIP) or NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA); NetApp Certified Support Engineer, or Veeam Certified Architect (VMCA), or Veritas Certified Professional (VCP) - Administration of Veritas NetBackup, or Dell EMC Expert - Implementation Engineer, or HPE ASE - Storage Solutions Architect, or HPE Master ASE - Storage Solutions Architect
Certifications are subject to change based on contractual requirements
Location: On Customer Site
Additional:
Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
Travel may be required to support the mission

The likely salary range for this position is $40,557 - $54,871. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
