Job Description

GDIT is seeking a IT Quality Analyst Senior to join our team in support of the Medicare CMS agency and the DME program. The tester role reviews and evaluates software systems to ensure adherence to company and CMS customer quality standards.

The team works to develop quality system enhancements, software/systems testing procedures, system change appropriate testing scenarios, and conducts multiple levels of testing. Testers support the CMS and contract customers in understanding and testing corresponding system changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include all aspects of system testing including creating and executing the test plan, test cases, regression testing, and test data/file creation.
  • Review functional and technical requirements to expose inconsistencies, lack of clarity, lack of details, and identify any contradictions.
  • Develops and implements software/systems testing standards and procedures and conducts tests.
  • Documents and analyzes test results, and makes recommendations to improve overall quality.
  • May be responsible for testing purchased third-party software and/or services to ensure that company standards and end-user requirements are met.
  • Participate in / conduct documentation, design, and testing reviews as appropriate.
  • Log and track all problems as well as ideas for new functionality (i.e. new requirements) identified during system and user testing of a release in a timely manner using the designated problem-tracking tool.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.

  • 3+ years of related IT, software development, testing, or quality assurance experience.

  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Word.

  • Batch Job testing experience.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Medicare and CMS-related knowledge a plus.

  • Ability to write technical, logical test cases.

  • Ability to clearly and thoroughly document system errors.

  • Competent to work independently on Quality Assurance testing activities.

LOCATION:

  • Remote with the ability to work onsite approximately once per month.

CLEARANCE:

  • Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years in order to obtain a Public Trust.​

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $80,226 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
