Telecommunication Engineer

HOW AN TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Designs, evaluates, plans, tests, and operates electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or computer components, equipment and systems
● Leverage engineering experience to support and maintain Telecommunications and Physical Infrastructure.
● Serve as a SME to CTSS personnel
● Use technical knowledge such as the interrelationships of circuits, Internet Protocol (IP) routing, and architecture design to solve complex problems.
● Apply “hands on” work experience in support of communications electronic systems.
● Exercise independent judgment in performing tasks.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Science (EE Major)             
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Telecommunications Engineering
● Security Clearance Level: SECRET
● Required Skills and Abilities: Certification - RCDD
● Location: On Customer Site
● US Citizenship Required: CLEARANCE

Telecommunication Engineer (62)

CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/electronics/computer engineering from an accredited university. Completion of vendor/platform specific certifications as stated in the task orders

Must meet the certification requirement of DoD 8570.01-M or otherwise stated in SPIN-C or individual task order. The contractor is expected to have, but is not limited to, the following IT certificates or course:

• Building Industry Consulting Service International BICSI Outside Plant Design

• USA Engineering and Installation Project Engineering Course

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of six (6) years of “hands on” work experience in support of communications electronic systems or equipment. Must have the technical knowledge to solve complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, understands Internet Protocol (IP) routing and architecture design and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks. Minimum of six (6) years of engineering experience in the following areas:

 Telecommunications

 Physical Infrastructure

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Military Communication Systems as specified in the task order.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $44.14 - $0.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
