Job Description

Special Security Technician (Facility Monitor) 

 

Our work depends on a Senior Special Security Technician (Facility Monitor) to serve in support of defense analytical requirements by providing enhanced security and administrative support for a Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC)  

 

HOW A SENIOR SPECIAL SECURITY TECHNICIAN (FACILITY MONITOR) WILL MAKE AN IMPACT  

  • Monitor and control access to SCI and SCIF areas. 
  • Verify credentials and authorize entry. 
  • Prevent unauthorized access to sensitive information and facilities. 
  • Provide security escort support for custodial and uncleared workers. 
  • Ensure that all security procedures are followed during escorts. 
  • Respond to security incidents and emergencies. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:  

  • Security Clearance Level: TS / SCI, with polygraph eligibility. 
  • US Citizenship Required  
  • Desired Education and Experience: Master’s degree with 5 yrs related experience or Bachelor’s degree with a total of 7 yrs experience as a substitute to the Master’s degree. At least a portion of your experience must be in the last 2 yrs. 
  • Required:  Strong attention to detail and observational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Preferred: Leadership experience in facility security or access control. Knowledge of security protocols and procedures. Familiarity with USCENTCOM J2 facilities.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $82,283 - $111,323. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
