GDIT is seeking a O365 Tier 3 Systems Engineer to provide support on our Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering contract. This position will require the employee to report onsite several days a week in the Chantilly, VA office.
HOW AN O365 TIER 3 SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Provides engineering support, tests, administers, and troubleshoots IT system issues.
Develops engineering assessments of different configurations; including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with schedules.
Coordinates with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction.
Makes recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations.
Prepares milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives.
Design to maximize the Government’s investment in Microsoft Office365 Microsoft technologies, reduce risk, accelerate deployment and optimize solutions to meet DISA customer requirements
Perform problem resolution efficiently and expediently with DoD365 Microsoft technology as part of solution development and architectural planning
Perform technical support, problem resolution, workshops, strategic guidance and assistance to customers with technical issues pertaining to developing cloud strategies, prototyping, implementation and deployment of solutions spanning across infrastructure and application areas
Provide the core requirement of agile and real-time reach back to vendor software developers and product teams
Assist in determining the root cause of recurring incidents and provide recommendations to prevent further disruptions in the designated Microsoft technologies
Provide engineering, configuration and optimizations support for Microsoft Office365 Microsoft products
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:
CLEARANCE: Active DoD Secret Clearance
CERTIFICATION: IAT Level II DoD 8140 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or similar)
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree
YEAR’S EXPERIENCE:
6 years of Systems Engineering experience
At least 3 years of Cloud Engineering / Administration experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Expertise in developing, maintaining and contributing to technical and process documentation
Expertise with Office 365 management and configuration (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Suite, AzureAD)
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
LOCATION: Hybrid – reporting onsite a couple days a week in Chantilly, VA.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – DESIRED:
CERTIFICATION: Senior Microsoft Azure Certifications or Office 365 Certifications
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Expertise in cloud service delivery models

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
