Job Description
GDIT has been supporting the IHS mission for 20+ years; working with the agency to provide integral services to raise health access and availability to 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. You'll be part of modernizing the EHR platform to enable better data access, patient experience, and quality of care for 567 tribes, 37 states and over 600 medical facilities. Our work depends on a Program Transition Manager joining our team to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program. As a Program Transition Manager supporting the IHS EHRM program, you will be responsible for supporting the Sustainment team manage handoff from Deployment workstreams at the Enterprise and Cohort level.HOW THIS ROLE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Manages transition schedule, administration and support including customer briefing and or customer interactions, including hiring and supervising assigned professional and support staff
  • Analyzes current processes and workflows to help the organization run efficiently and effectively
  • Foster continual service improvement
  • Oversees and provides guidance to the team ensuring work quality and completion of projects and task
  • Drives completion of transition schedule and tasks
  • Works with customers, other teams and vendors to ensure team success
  • Manage completion of projects, changes request and incident resolution ensuring availability of services for the customer and its users
  • Provide critical analysis of current solutions and solution recommendations to identify right sized solutions that provide security, redundancy and fault tolerance
  • Keeps well-informed of new technologies and industry best practices and trends
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • BA/BS or equivalent, 8+ years of experience supporting medium to large Healthcare IT projects
  • Five (5) years of Program Management, Transition Management or Sustainment experience with successful program transition execution
  • Experience and overall understanding of Cerner Millennium products and service ticketing systems
  • Experience in process development , continuous improvement and big picture management
  • Experience and effective communication skills with customer, supplier, employee and previous incumbent stakeholders
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio
  • Preferred Certification:  PMP and/or ITIL
  • Preferred Technical Skills: IT Project / Program/Transition level management
  • Overall understanding of Helpdesk management
  • Must be able to obtain a  Public Trust level 5 clearance
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $139,984 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
