HOW A TECHNICAL DATA STEWARD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

 Job Description:

  • Perform operations, maintenance, and administrative support for Windows and RHEL OS based servers and hosted data sets in a global, multi-site enterprise. This includes advanced troubleshooting and resolution of advanced Server OS related issues, or technical issues with data consistency / quality.
  • Responsible for the coordination and resolution of any security vulnerabilities or enhancements to assigned systems for compliancy purposes.
  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere administration for daily administration and management of VM based server deployments.
  • Experience with developing and executing database tools and queries, to include MS SQL Server, NoSQL (object-oriented database structures), Oracle, Mongo, Haddop, or other widely-used database tools
  • Experience with creating and manipulating content using tools such as Python and/or Tableau
  • Responsible for identifying authoritative data sources across enterprise environments; effectively working with data owners and staff to obtain, clean, and connect necessary data to proactive monitoring tools and models
  • Responsible for organizing and cleaning internal departmental data maintained within separate division(s) management systems.
  • Ability to understand and leverage existing system architecture and infrastructure during data manipulation tool development and usage.
  • Ensures there are documented and published processes for granting system access and privileges within the business area.
  • Develops policies and procedures to ensure appropriate access rules are in place and access groups are defined and maintained
  • Serves as a champion and advocate for promoting and advancing data literacy / data governance throughout the department / division.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • The position requires an intimate familiarity with large data sets and techniques/approaches to data manipulation and data analysis to perform day-to-day duties.
  • Group Policies (GPOs) and Active Directory (ADUC) with experience in other Microsoft related Administration Tools to perform
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of security products such as Trellix, Nessus Agent (ACAS), and Carbon Black.
  • Perform IAVA remediation and STIG hardening on OS Server builds.
  • Develop and deliver documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for both new personnel as well as Operations staff to utilize for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Background/experience in PowerShell in order to automate tasks a plus.
  • Complete Incident and Change Request tickets utilizing BMC Remedy IT Service Management and/or ServiceNow

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $140,250 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
