As a mid-level UI/UX Designer supporting the Geospatial Services and Solutions team you will ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.

Position Description:

We are looking for a creative, passionate mid-level UI/UX Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces for our technical capabilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects and managers to design seamless user experiences across various platforms.

How a UI/UX Designer Will Make An Impact

  • Lead and manage UI/UX design projects from concept to completion.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and manage expectations.
  • Conduct user research, workshops and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with user needs and business goals.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure the seamless implementation of designs.
  • Advocate for user-centric design principles and methodologies within the organization.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, research and engineering.
  • Proficient in tools such as Figma, Storybook, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • User Journeys: Extensive experience in creating detailed user journeys, personas, and scenarios.
  • Initiating User Groups: Experience in creating and managing user research groups like Sponsor User programs.
  • Design Principles: Deep understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders both face-to-face and remote.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating design concepts and rationale effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • User Research: Ability to create and conduct user research workshops using tools like Miro, Teams or Figma.
  • Development: Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Visual Communications, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Experience with Agile development processes.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $115,786 - $156,652. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
