Job Description

Be a part of the men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges! General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an Enterprise Modeling Engineer to support the DTRA I3TS program at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

This program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable the customer to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities. These services will deliver exceptional execution value to internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

This position will provide specialized engineering expertise supporting the acquisition of multi-intelligence (multi-INT) software services. GDIT’s client is tasked with leading the integration of mission focused tools to foster increased efficiency, automation and information sharing. In this role, you will assist and advise Government managers responsible for the complete end-to-end life cycle of the customer's Ground Enterprise.

  • Exercise thought leadership and practical engineering application by leveraging extensive Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering experiences to build digital models.
  • Use knowledge of systems engineering processes, methods, tools, SysML and program roles to help develop, implement, and deploy Digital Engineering solutions and services.
  • Capture stakeholder and system requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of digital solutions, and enhance the digital engineering culture for the customer’s System Engineering Group.
  • Engage with other systems engineers directly supporting programs and foster broader understanding of modeling and assist them in developing digital work products.
  • Participate in and contribute to technical and programmatic interchanges; identify and resolve issues; and provide engineering and technical advice to the customer to achieve innovative capabilities.
  • Support agile process evolution across Government teams, development contractors, user engagement teams, and stakeholders.
  • Apply systems analysis and design methodology assessments to identify technical debt, architectural runway, and efficiency trade-offs against current and proposed/desired cloud-based software system design.
  • Provide technical expertise to support the planning of future systems and architectures.
  • Develop briefings and documentation material, including architecture views and technical roadmaps.
  • You will work side-by-side with the other LANDMARK AOS staff comprised of world class System Engineers, Acquisition Engineers and Domain Experts to lead the customer in acquiring modern processing applications.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years of experience using enterprise modeling tools to model complex systems using SysML and UAF.
  • Broad systems engineering experience (e.g. system architecture and design, systems documentation, system requirements, CONOPS, systems verification).
  • Experience with systems design, architecture and testing
  • Security+
  • Desired: Microsoft Cert, RHEl Cert
  • TS/SCI

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $111,702 - $151,126. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
