Job Description

Senior Web Application Developer - Top Secret Clearance - Wiesbaden, Germany

Develops, codes, deploys and maintains web applications and websites. Perform software development tasks including analysis, design, development, unit and integration testing, troubleshooting and documentation. 

HOW A WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provides application development and technical support for customer websites.

  • Provides technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations and enhancements of existing systems. 

  • Prepares functional specifications from which programs will be written, then designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs. 

  • Participates in the technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of website enhancements.

  • Plans, schedules and conducts systems tests, monitors test results, and takes appropriate corrective action. 

  • May prepare technical user guides. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff.


WHAT YOU��LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree

  • Certifications: Candidate must obtain DoD 8140 IAT Level II prior to start; Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire

  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

  • Required Technical Skills: Core knowledge of Java, Java EE including the Java Collections Framework (JCF), Java servlet's and EJBs; Knowledge of Web Servers, Java Application servers and Servlet Containers such as JBOSS Wildfly, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and Jetty.; Knowledge of Geospatial concepts, imagery, overlays, vectors, point features, and KML, GeoJSON, OVL; Knowledge of the Java API for XML (JAX) and the familiarity with KML and Java API for KML (JAK); Advanced JavaScript knowledge, AJAX, JQuery, AngularJS & Angular 2+, Typescript, JSON, HTML, CSS and associated JavaScript debugging and Unit Testing capabilities; Web Services knowledge (SOAP and REST), Filters, Handlers, Servlets, Server Sent Events (SSE), and Web Sockets;

  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Software Development Lifecycle methodologies; Experience working with and developing applications for systems hosted within containerized environments to including applicable technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, Tanzu Application Platform (TAP), Amazon AWS, or Azure experience a plus; Familiarity with Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) and DevOps practices; Familiarity with the Netbeans, Netbeans plug-in framework and/or IntelliJ IDE; Familiarity with version control system (Subversion, JIRA, Git/GitLab), and team collaboration software (Confluence), and ability to adhere to specified coding standards; Understanding of Joint and Army C4I systems/interfaces/data such as GCCS-J, GCCS-A, CPCE, SitaWare, Maven or DDS a plus

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
