Job Description

Project Planner/Scheduler

Join GDIT and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Defense Stockpile Management Systems (DSMS) support team is searching for a Project Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Fort Belvoir VA to provide planning tools, products, and processes to meet company and customer requirements.

DTRA is the Executive Agent for the Joint Staff Nuclear Weapons Stockpile Manager and is assigned the responsibility for maintaining the DoDs national nuclear weapons stockpile database using the Defense Integration and Management of Nuclear Data Services (DIAMONDS) application.

TYPICAL DUTIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.

●Works with project teams and planners to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), schedules and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to meet program, project or customers reporting requirements.

●Assist and update IMS and POAM’s with program and contractual changes to determine impacts to objectives and requirements. 

●Receive and enter engineering and production progress in the project schedules and analyzes changes to the schedule after updating.

●Prepare and present production status reports, resources, manning curves and assist with other performance reports.

●Analyzes resource loaded plan and provides report to the Program Management Team requirements on timelines and impacts.

●Assist with updating Project/Program Management teams through weekly reports on project status.

●Perform any other assignments or tasks as needed or requested by management to assist in accomplishing the organization’s mission, objectives, and goals.  

●Attending and documenting all design meetings for filing into the Knowledge Management repository.

●Standardizing documentation formatting for internal documents, process plans, and other documentation for the Knowledge Management repository

ensuring all system documentation in the Knowledge Management repository is complete, current and associated with program planning and sustainment.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience using MS Project and Excel expertise in MS Project to include Scheduling, Resource Loading, and Critical Path Analysis
● Required Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of MS Project
● Security Clearance Level: Secret
● Required Skills and Abilities: Great communication and problem-solving skills
● Location: Hybrid, On Customer Site
● US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $117,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
