At GDIT, people are our differentiator.  As an Exchange Engineer supporting the Government, you will be trusted with engineering solutions for email systems, email retention systems, archival technologies, authentication, etc.

In this role, a typical day may include:

  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Administering large deployments of Microsoft Exchange environments and messaging systems; including configuration
  • Designs, deploys, integrates, and maintains on/off premise exchange solutions.
  • Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
  • Analyzes customer requirements concept of operations documents and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
  • Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup and redundancy problems.
  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
  • Utilizing ticketing systems to resolve user problems (ServiceNow) as needed

What you’ll need:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following:  Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
  • Education:  Bachelor of Science Degree, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of technical related experience
  • Experience with Exchange Server versions 2007-2019: design, install, configuration, maintenance, performance, tuning, migration, and upgrades to server
  • Knowledge of ATO and Project Management processes and experience in certifying products for use in production networks
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Vault and the integration process of Enterprise Vault into Exchange Environments
  • Experience utilizing PowerShell; i.e. creating, developing, writing, testing, etc.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
