Job Description

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking a Data Center Field Service Technician Senior to support the data centers for the DTRA I3TS program at Albuquerque, NM.

This program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable the customer to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities. These services will deliver exceptional execution value to internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Hiring Multiple Levels

You will supervise and manage the following tasks:

  • Comply with the day-to-day activities of all data center operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Resolves Data Center work problems, or assists co-workers in solving work problems
  • Maintains infrastructure monitoring systems.
  • Devises new techniques to expedite workflow, improve productivity, and improve operating environment.
  • Confers and works efficiently and effectively with other departments to implement controls and schedules, resolve delivery problems, and help validate business, operational, and financial impact of large-scale data center projects.
  • Assist the O&M’s team’s troubleshooting efforts to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree: additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 1- 3 years of experience leading, coordinating, and providing subject-matter expertise on implementation, operation, maintenance, and advanced delivery services

Desired certifications:

  • Data Center Infrastructure Manager (DCIM), Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP)

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $28.38 - $38.40. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
