Job Description

Conference Support

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Room Systems and Surface Hub setup.
  • Provide network, Audio/Video and presentation support for conference rooms.
  • Ability to independently trouble-shoot issues with Microsoft Teams, TVs, Speakers and Microphones; engage vendor support when needed.
  • Understanding of network connectivity to connect equipment to different LAN segments.
  • Security hardening, vulnerability mitigation of A/V equipment, Windows OS.
  • Ability to manage multiple conference rooms and provide requested/ad-hoc support.
  • Knowledge of rebuilding, patching, re-imaging Teams Room devices.
  • Provide user support and guidance to users for scheduling, connecting to online meetings.
  • Knowledge of managing AMX, Shure Audio/Video codecs
  • Work with systems engineers/administrators to facilitate remediation of tickets/alerts.
  • Assist in the coordination and completion of conference room operations documentation (e.g. Work Instructions, SOPs)
  • Review deployment of existing systems and remediate to ensure alignment with standards where necessary
  • Ensure that deployments conform to approved design standards following documented SOPs and Work Instructions
  • Conduct quality control analysis that includes audio, video and signal testing
  • Perform schedule checks of specific conference spaces and equipment; identify equipment showing significant wear and tear or other early indications of failure and proactively report issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor and maintain contracts for conference room systems and components
  • Provide escalation support for operational issues; opens service tickets with support contractors / repair providers and network service providers as needed. Tracks repairs until completion.
  • Compiles and submits regular reports on Audio/Video operations and other work performed.

Qualifications:

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years total IT experience, with 1-3 years of experience as an audio/visual technician in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with Teams Room Systems and Surface Hubs
  • Experience with Cisco/Polycom audio conference hardware
  • Knowledge of the operating characteristics of various operating systems, e.g. Windows 11 Enterprise, MacOS and iOS.
  • Knowledge of VLAN Concepts, LAN Segments and Multicast, Audio & Video encoding and decoding protocols, Dante protocols, Q-LAN protocol for Audio streams, IGMP snooping, QoS, DNS/DHCP
  • Knowledge of general management and auditing techniques for identifying problems, gathering, and analyzing pertinent information, forming conclusions, developing solutions and implementing plans consistent with management goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills. Interaction and information gathering with coworkers and customers.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $30.65 - $41.47. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
