Job Description

 Electro-Mechanical Technician

An Electro-Mechanical Technician at GDIT performs a wide range of technical activities related to the test, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and upgrade of Multifunction Antenna systems and sub-assemblies to support the repair facility on-site at Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) located in Newport RI.

 

Familiarity working with basic hand tools and equipment such as multimeters, analyzer, and soldering required.  Ability to read blueprints and schematics. RF knowledge helpful. Positive attitude and a desire to be part of a team.

● Work as part of a team of experts to ensure on-time repair and maintenance of communication equipment
● Team works together to meet schedules, resolve issues, and train jr. team members
● Quality is our number one focus, ensuring product is ready for issue.

● Education: Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
● Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills: Ability to work in team environment; Comfortable using hand tools, test equipment and other repair/troubleshooting equipment
● Required Skills and Abilities: Good communication; Attention to Quality
● Location: On Customer Site
●US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $27.10 - $36.66. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
