HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Manages the organization’s computer systems’ workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software
  • Provides technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures
  • Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues
  • Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software
  • Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
  • Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
  • Evaluates existing systems and assists with planning long-term strategies

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: DoD IAT Level II Certification and a B.S. in Network Administration, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other IT related discipline. Additional years of related experience may be substituted for a 4-year degree.
  • Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills: Experience with Windows Server and Workstation administration, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange / Outlook / Office / O365, VMware, comfortable working in a multi-vendor network with a large array of COTS applications, experience maintaining file / print / application servers
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/ CI Polygraph
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to work independently under limited supervision
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with monitoring SIEM solutions, enterprise storage solutions, patching and backup technologies, AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
  • Location: On Customer Site in Chantilly, VA
  • US Citizenship Required

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $142,802. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
